I had planned to do a piece on one of the lesser known Kasina features today, but this arrived as a link in a newsletter from Mocavo. Mocavo is a genealogical search facility – their concern is the potential to make online research too slow or too expensive to be viable.
Until this I hadn’t really thought much about “Net Neutrality” and, of course, this relates to a US Federal Court ruling, but the US has quite an impact on the rest of the world. Imagine if WordPress access became trickle slow, or had to be paid for as a distinct cost on top of basic web access fees. Likewise any other sites you enjoy, but most particularly the not-for-profit ones that might contain material deemed prejudicial to one of the ISPs, their shareholders or their puppet-masters.
Please take a look, and US citizens, flick your congressman an email or fifty. This is another freedom issue.

Yup, there’s lots of totally verifiable scary stuff out there! It’s still in our power to change direction.
